Auteria under Kubuntu 8.04 64BIT

Postby Vorodie on Mon Oct 27, 2008 10:34 am

after extracting the game i had to:
in the app folder
1. chmod u+x auteria
2. chmod u+x auteria.bin
3. chmod u+x auteria_*
in app/lib folder
4. ln -s libtheora.so.0.1.0 libtheora.so.0
5. ln -s libvorbis.so.0.3.0 libvorbis.so.0

that allowed for me to start the game

no sound though....

Did you install libsmpeg0? That one is not installed by default....... it worked for me in the 32 bits version ;)

Re: Auteria under Kubuntu 8.04 64BIT - MAKE SOUND WORK

Postby Vorodie on Mon Oct 27, 2008 7:33 pm

<gamefolder> is the folder where Auteria is located
resolving sound issue:
1. under the <gamefolder>/lib delete the file: libopenal.so (it's a symlink)
2. download libopenal for your distribution for i386 architecture
http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=libopenal0a
3. download libsmpeg0 for your distribution for i386 architecture (i'm not sure if this step is necessary)
http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=libopenal0a
4. extract from the DEB packages that were downloaded the contents of:
<DEPB_PACKAGE>/CONTENTS/usr/lib to the <gamefolder>/lib folder
5. create a symlink: ln -s libopenal.so.0.0.0 libopenal.so (i'm not sure if this step is necessary)
6. run the game.
